I believe that you're reading it incorrectly. I highly doubt that LC was still making M2 ball ammo in 1987. Of course I could be wrong. BUT, But, but.........

Thanks for the heads-up: the ammo boxes are printed '42387' and the headstamp does, in fact, show 'LC 67.' Apologies, my 63 year old eyes have fooled me (and my presumption that 42387 was the date of manufacture). I ASSumed...Brian.

UPDATE: Thanks to Mark in Vancouver that the ammo is LC-67 NOT LC-87. Over 60 and your eyes turn to mush...
