    SOLD

    This one is a good solid M1,
    and is also a USGI Rcvr from WWII Pacific Theater, reparked by the CMP,
    transferred to the Philippines Military.

    The Bbl is Brite w/ Strong Lands and Grooves.
    Post war: SA 11/ 51; TE: 2.0, MW: 0.7 Very accurate. [see below]

    USGI NOS Parts
    :
    Bolt: SA Post War,
    Springs, Front sight, Trigger Grp Parts;
    Trg Housing is WWII.

    Stock is an Excellent Danish Beech w/ Beech HGs.
    The rest of the parts are excellent but used.

    This rifle is very accurate.
    Price Drop
    $775.00. Open to valid offers / possible part trade.

    Prefer FTF SE PDX/ Milwaukie area.


    FYI:
    CMP Svc Grades are now $725.00 w/ the wait and Who Knows? factor.
    Bbls: [ Bores will be generally good with only minor imperfections.
    The barrel crown may be nicked,
    but the Muzzle will gauge "3 or less"
    and the throat erosion [TE] will gauge less than 5.]

    How were you able to determine that it saw service in WWII pacific and then transferred to PI's. ?Just asking.

    Wait, I thought the rifle was post WWII. What's the receiver date?

    He said the receiver was wwII. Barrel and other parts are post war.

    Source at the CMP.
    They got a batch from the Philippines in varied conditions. These were transferred like Carbines were to Bavaria, and elsewhere.
    Many early SNs as well as later.
    They have been reparked.

    If you do a Vulcan Mind Meld w/ them, you get to go there in time.;)

    Both the M1 and the M1 in 308 nice looking rifles.
