Thanks for the reply...ban in effect in 1994,,,this one imported in 1993...EG. preban. This rifle was Norinco's response to the "evil" AK-47. The thumbhole stock and non-bayo...solved all "evil" problems. Great gun, thicker than "normal" reciever, in new shape!!
