You can make your own for cheap using a bolt.
For plastic parts, I wouldn't go as far as hardening the bolt, just cut the slots.

That was my first thought but unfortunately trying to find an M39 bolt with 0.5mm pitch is harder than it seems.

An hour of shop time will cost more not including materials. Are you sure it's .5mm pitch. That seems very fine for such a large diameter. What is it for?

Yes 0.5 pitch.

Working on a prototype and trying to reuse as much of the original parts as possible and this is one of them.

I looked around my sources, and a special thread like that would cost much more from any other tap manufacturer. Amazon is the best bet.

Every project is important and I've already spent more than expected to get this far. I don't run a business and I don't have unlimited funds. Just trying to cut cost where I can.

Plus I mentioned that this can be aluminum and I can source the raw part if necessary. I just don't have the machine to do it. Was hoping to find a hobbyist among the group.
