    Well, if you are insisting on a Colt, I'd say at least a couple of grand. There are some others currently in the classifieds for a bit less. Of course, then there is mags and ammo.

    Prices are quite volatile, considering.

    FYI... There are many Colt AR's for sale on gunbroker.com in the 1800-2200 price range.
