The CM8 reticle option from Monstrum Tactical in 1-8x24 is excellent for your needs.

The drawback to this brand can be the size of the reticle at full zoom in FFP designs (ie: the crosshairs at full zoom are 1MOA themselves which means you'll cover the target at 100 yards)

To get around this, especially with an LPVO, I use their CM8 reticle which is a delta point and this works out GREAT!

This brand is excellent for bargain optics. Lifetime warranty, ED glass, all the bells and whistles of the high end stuff for a fraction of the cost

Don't get me wrong: I shoot better glass/reticle options on my upper end stuff (600+ yard shooting) where the reticle at full zoom really matters - but I've been able to shoot sub MOA 100 yard groups with this brand on a variety of rifles. They are better than the price indicates

The CM9 reticle also works well here.

Dealers choice. Just don't get anything from this brand with an actual crosshair that fully intersects. Like I said: at full zoom, the crosshairs are 1MOA in size which means you'll cover your 1" target at 100 yards.

The Delta point reticles rock and get you around this issue. If i had to say there's a weakness with this brand, it's this detail exactly. Everything else about them is ridiculously good!

This is probably more than you want to spend but it's decent quality for the sale price and the mount is rock solid, and sold separately approaches more than half the package cost on its own.
