Hi,

I am looking for a 9mm PCC rifle.
Preferable Draco, however open to any other cool 9mm.
Located in Salem, Or.
Budget is up to $1,000

Thank you!
1000 is too low for mpx and mp5 imo.

I would spend just a bit more and get a MKE mp5 clone (AP5). They are a joy to shoot. There is just nothing like roller delayed imo.

I agree. Those would be 2k+.

Honestly just want to see what else is out there and If anyone has other options.

That Kuna looks to be pretty cool as the person mentioned above. How ever it's located in bend.
Roller delayed Stribog is less than $1000 new. I have the non roller delayed one and it's stupid accurate shooting fast with a circle dot optic. Having owned many different 9mm PCCs I woudl look at Stribog or AP5 (or ap5p or AP5-sd).
Check out lack of muzzle rise on the mp5 clone
These are also fun:

This one is in your price range and if you buy a conversion barrel you woudl have 9mm, .357 sig, and .40 s&w in the same gun. Has both brace and stock (needs to be sbr'ed to use the stock or to put a vertical grip on the front).
Inexpensive 9mm barrel
Threaded 9mm barrel

I am looking into the AP5 right now and the foxtrot mike. they all seem to be in this range.
Thank you for sharing the stribog.

I have had excellent luck with Ap5s fwiw. Never a malfunction with any of them. Smooth shooters. Full size or sd will have less recoil and be smoother then the K size (ap5p). But k size is still low recoil and smooth.

FYI the sd is full size reciever and bolt but k size barrel. You have to have the faux suppressor it comes with on it or a real suppressor due to the slbqrrel being shorter than the handguard. Makes overall size with suppressor smaller while retaining the smoothness and Lower recoil of the full size reciever/bolt. The barrel is not ported on the sd and therefore doesn't need a special suppressor (any reg one will work). Also no fouling of the suppressor issue like the ported barrel has and ported barrel strips 35% of the bullet's velocity. And the ported barrel clones are around $6000ish.

Ar9 has more recoil than an AR15 in .223. Some people says the akv has twice the recoil as an AR9. Have never shot one myself. If just going for a blowback, high recoil PCC, there is no need to spend over $500. There is just no comparison of the shooting experience of soft shooting guns like mpx, mpx, etc vs the high recoil guns. @Bolt_308 has probably had more PCCs than any of us and may have some thoughts.

The op did say he's looking for a Draco pcc rifle and the Akv matches what he's looking for. Getting to RDB is out of his price range, however he can build a pretty sweet soft shooting ar9 for $1k. If his criteria was just a cheap pcc then suggesting an extar ep9 16in would've sufficed. Pretty sure he just wants something "cool" for his budget. Recoil doesn't seem to be a factor.

Thanks for the response, the Palmetto state armory ak-v 9 seems like something I'll be getting. It's $799 right now on their site.

Nice! Like @ilikegunspdx mentioned, I have owned or do own most of the PCCs out there at one point. I have a PSA AKV, and for an "AK" pattern 9mm, it is hard to beat! Super fun shooting suppressed, but then again I am a big AK guy. The manual of arms for the AKV is pretty close to a the full size AK, so a good/cheap trainer for the full size AK. I think you found what I would recommend in the under $1k price for 9mm AK!

There are lots of good options for 9mm PCCs under $1k- if you don't have any, an MP5 clone is top of the list- soooo soft shooting and just classic and iconic. The other surprising contender is the Stribog as Ilikegunspdx mentions. I would stay away from the CZ Scorpion- Ok gun but requires a lot of add ons/modifications to get it to be any good IMO. 9mm ARs are ok, but boooooring. ;-) but that might be me ;). I have not shot the Kuna yet, I hear good things but just haven't gotten around to looking into them- too many guns so little time . . .

Thanks for the info. I like the Ak look hence my preference towards the Draco and now the ak-v
