I tried to go to Coat of Arms during posted business hours (only "open" two days a week) and the door was locked. Their trucks were outside, employees inside, but not open 30 or so minutes after they should be. They usd to do some good classes but I'm not too sure anymore. The time I went there before the dude helping me was drinking a Corona beer, and it was apparent it wasn't the first one for the day. Hope they get their s together but I cannot recommend them at this time. Didn't answer your question but trying to save you a headache for attempting to do business in a normal manor.

Curious if there are still online classes that meet the criteria?

I know a few people that have been asking but all of them are extremely busy and just need the hour requirements and not necessarily the legal and basics information so much.

My wife being one of them, so she gets a ton of that stuff from me and we talk about situations fairly regularly. She has her WA CHL but it would be nice on the rare occasions she is with me when we go into OR for her to be covered there as well.

That's surprising, I used to do alot of business there when I was with the goverment. I think there name has changed too, maybe new owners?

I guess I didn't look at the sign as it didn't strike me as different when I pulled in. I only looked high enough to double check their posted hours. They were super great at their old location, always willing to go above and beyond. Too bad it was so cramped. I've bought tons from them in the past but these last two experiences have me wondering about their longevity as sporadic hours typically indicate problems on the horizon.

Tritac (in Keizer) has an Oregon CHL class.

ARPC (Albany Rifle & Pistol Club) has an Oregon & Utah combined class. Looks like there next one is march 8th.

The Utah non resident CHL is handy if you travel, even if just up into WA.

Notable: most CHL classes are NOT firearms instructions classes, primarily just legality of/about carry. With the minimal required basics of firearms safety.

Folks interested in firearms instruction type classes should be looking at places which run a series. Basic handgun, advanced handgun. Basic carbine, advanced carbine etc.etc.

Edit, adding: looks like Tritac has 4 CHL classes in March, first one March 1st. Although they don't do the Utah non resident, it looks like you can add on the Arizona non resident. Not being familiar with the Arizona non resident, you'd have to look into wether its worthwhile for you & your family.

I've driven past the ARPC many times, and never stopped in. Will check it out. I'm an archer too. Any archery ranges in the Keizer/Salem area ?
