    It's a CMD. Self Explanatory.

I'm sorry to sound like a newb but I'll admit this would be my first 1911. When I research the ruger 1911 commander it shows two options 5" and 4.25" http://ruger.com/products/sr1911/models.html so if you could help me out and give me details that would be great. I'm close to you in Oregon city and ready to buy!

Ok ok, hey, some of us were new at one time. Commander's are 4.25" that's what the CMD means. Government, or full-size 1911's are 5". Kimber and other makers make smaller, somewhat less reliable sizes in the 4", 3" and smaller 1911 sizes.

With that said, I have 2 people in line ahead of you, so I would probably move along and find another deal. But, DEFINITELY buy a 1911. =)
