Are they soft lead or a harder alloy? If you drop one on a concrete floor, soft lead will just "clunk", where a harder alloy will make a bit of a ringing sound.

Black powder guys love soft lead, whereas most other casters want harder alloy. Fishing weight guys usually don't care.

I have a Lead Electric pot that holds 11 Lbs. My mix is 9 to 1 of linotype for making lead bullets. I have a lot of lead over 100 Lbs, made for lead selves. I use to work for the Phone company.
