Why does it not work for .223/5.56 ?
Is it for a large frame (308) AR ?

The cam pin hits the upper and keeps the bolt from going into battery.

basically this will only work with pistol caliber block back bolt carriers, and a guy would have to drill and tap the pistol caliber carrier to accept a charge handle.
it would be a cool build.
