Whats going on with the silver spot in pic 3?

Tripod not included.
The silver spot you see on the left side of picture 3 is where the chassis was milled (By a professional, on a mill. No DIY Dremel hack job) to clear the side bolt release on a Defiance Deviant action. It wasn't worth the time or effort of sending the whole chassis to get anodized to cover the small bare aluminum spot. FWIW, you can't tell its there when there is an action with a side bolt release installed and it can be easily painted over/covered up/cerakoted/what have you with minimal effort.
