The gun didn't have a rail. Not sure if the holster accepts both but Id say non rail

No it fit very tight

I will see if my 226 slides in

My railed 226 slides right in. Stick out because it's 1" longer but looks the it has the imprint for rail too.

Yes this is a 229 holster. I no longer have a 229 so tried my 226 in it because they are the same except 226 is longer. The 229 fit fully inside
