Thanks for the information on posting, I will make changes this evening. I was told the gun is worth $1400 and the dies and brass I will get a count and a picture will be added. For how many rounds down the barrel that would be a guess it was one of many guns my father had, he passed last February. Will update thanks again.

That's a great rifle and a great cartridge. The .35 Whelen is "underbore" meaning you shouldn't have extra hot gasses to damage the chamber and bore like, say, a 7mm Magnum. I'd expect a lot of life out of that barrel.

Here are a few pictures of the 35 Whelen with a Burris signature 1.5x6. My father bought the gun directly from the Clackamas factory when it closed. $1700 for gun, scope, dies brass and ammo.
