So: I'm looking to "tune" my newly purchased CW40 for my ev. day carry. Here's what I'm looking to have done:

Coat or re-finish the slide to something very tough and much darker than the current finish (flat black or OD green)

Install night sights (Trijicon or Metropolite)

...and possibly go to a longer ported barrel if I can find one.

Can anybody out there direct me to a shop or gunsmith with a good reputation for refinishing and who does work on "customizing" CCW pistols? Cheers!

I have a CW-9. The guide rod is a cheap material and mine was getting chewed up by the spring (but the pistol has NEVER malfunctioned). Buy the stainless steel guide rod from Kahr. It is inexpensive. I love my CW 9!

What I'd actually like is a 9mm conversion bbl (cheaper practice) *and* an upgraded match-grade target crowned 40 cal bbl for carry -like the cyl & slide carry packages. Just missed on a set of trijicons, what night sites do people think are best?
