On a Howa barreled action from Brownell's, it's a 1500 Mini-action, 20" heavy barrel, in 6.5 Grendel. I've toyed with building a Grendel bolt action before, was poking around Brownell's web site, and found this on sale (clearance?) for $140 off the regular $500. Free shipping included, so that means the discount will just about cover the cost of a Boyd's stock, once I figure out what I want. And that kind of made it too good to pass up. Not going to be in a rush, I'm behind on so many other projects that this may sit on a shelf until next fall. But that's okay, it'll give me time to figure out what bits and pieces I want to go into this build. Will post again once I actually start putting it together. Later.
