Guess It's time to say hello to everyone.

Was introduced to the site by a buddy of mine and have really been hooked!

Seems like a good site with lots of information, good deals to be found, and people who like to share and help others. I appreciate that, looking forward to digging into the site a bit more and learning from people with similar interests.

Welcome Aboard. Glad you found the forum.

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

Check out the organized clean ups. It's the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly.

We are doing non ODF supported cleanups at public forests - check the North Fork Wolf Creek Road thread in resources.

If you really want to get involved in community action check out Trash No Land.

Aloha, Mark

Greetings!
Tell us about the dog.
Since you ask, Hammi does have a story.......

Hammi was a rescue that had been given up three times prior to coming into my life. (He was meant for me, not sure who rescued who) He was my boy, not a dog in the world could compare to him. Manners, listened, easily trained/learned, loved kids, gentle with any kind of animal. He was the best dog around and my shadow for 12 years.

He had this sense when someone was hurting physically or emotionally, he would go over to them lay his head on their lap. You could see people release their pain when he did this. He would absorb peoples pain or suffering and turn it into love. He could melt people........he was a gift from God not just to me but for others.

He actually helped rescue a number of dogs and animals over the years. Scared animals would come to him so we could get them help. We would get them help and foster for a time then able adopt these animals out. One of these dogs he helped rescue actually directly saved the new owners life. You never know the plan, but I got to see what the plan was for him. He had a purpose in life, helped a lot of people and animals throughout his life.

Lost him just over a year ago now. Still tough.........I miss him dearly.
