Introduction from an old Fart

Hello, I came across this website when I was looking for a holster for my Ruger SP101 with a 4,2" barrel and a fiber optic sight. I did buy a leather one but the sight drags too much. I bought the pistol as my primary carry gun since we live in a very rural and forested area in Idaho. This year we have seen wolves, puma and an occasional black bear in the wilderness area near our place. In talking with our local fish and game biologist he recommended that I start carrying a .357 with a 4" barrel and load it with "buffalo" loads. Apparently the grizzlies are slowly ranging further West. I will carry the Ruger until I can find either a 10mm or .44 mag that I will trade to.

Thanks! When I was leading the weapons development efforts for the USAF, the bomb assembly folks in Iraq were writing a lot of interesting messages on their load outs. Sorry but can't print them here, but you can guess the number of four letter words that were used.
