Hey guys,

I've been picking up brass for awhile now with hopes to one day start reloading. Haven't really gotten into it at this point and would like to off load the brass. any idea what I should list it for?

couple thousand 9mm
Couple thousand 223/556
Hundreds of .45acp
Some 45/70, 30/06, .308, .38/.357
As well as some others.

I'd seen some people asking for prices per pound/per round. all once fired, not cleaned

thanks,

Dave

Hoarder! Ha ha, just kidding.....

Once fired 9mm commercial brass (Not WCC, any other military brass, S&B brass, IVI brass).....$30.00 per thousand.
.38 special once fired....$35-$40 a thousand.
357 mag once fired brass...$40-45. a thousand
45acp once fired brass... 10 cents-20 cents per case

From the perspective of having sold a fair amount that I've accumulated myself:

Mixed 9mm- $15 to $18 per thousand
38 Special- 4 to 6 cents each
.357 Mag- 7 to 10 cents each
45acp- 4 to 5 cents each
Mixed 223/5.56- about 4 cents each
45-70- at least 25 cents each
30-06 and 308- 10 to 20 cents each, depending

I am not certain about other calibers, but I purchased 45ACP brass that was processed (deprimed, sized and cleaned), and new WLP primers inserted. I paid $100 for 1500 shipped to me.

Hopefully that helps with your pricing.

You can sell them to those whom make crafts. I find all sorts of ways to use the. Make Chuck keys bigger, I use them for many things. So perhaps someone that does that could use them?

I'd say that generally......

It's worth as much as someone (hopefully a reloader) is willing to buy it for.

And/or

It's worth as much as the scrap guy will pay you for "scrap brass".

Aloha, Mark

PS....per round or per pound.

The buyer and seller still need to agree. Then.....
Don't blame me if I'm off on the count. And/or Yeah....I'm too lazy to count, so there.

Yes, I had a 5 gallon bucket 3/4 of the way full of all kinds of brass and punched primers were in there too. I had been wanting to take it to the recycler but my son-in-law told me that he asked about the primers still being intact, the recycler said no way you had to punch all the primers. I said F that and put an ad on craigslist, two weeks later I sold the bucket full of brass for $50 to someone wanting to make brass trinkets.:D
