Just a clarification, the XTP Mags are the ones built for the 454 Casul. Too hard to expand in 45 Colt.

I have not used them in a 454 Casul or 45 Colt. According to https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...ics/12072028/45-colt-and-240-xtp-mag-question it looks like they may work in a Colt 45.

If used for hunting keep in mind this bullet will still make a 45 caliber entry hole and act like a solid if it doesn't expand much. Nothing to sneeze at.
