That's how the pistol comes from the factory. With the new ATF pistol brace law I guess it's beneficial it comes that way.. hk offers an adapter if you wanted to throw on a stock/brace.

I love the HK416 pistol. Here's mine... HK sells a reduced trigger pull kit as well as quality mags for reasonable prices. Flash hider comes off and there's a 1/2 x 28 mount for suppressors.
