My current edc (Sig Fuse esque size) It'll be in the classifieds in the near future. Great gun, but going back to 1911's.

No odds, it is just down to maintenance, if/when you recognize part failure, tolerance creep, etc.

I was all about the hk and the lem triggers, but sig keeps putting out smaller form factors, bigger capacity, more full size feel in cc forms like the fuse, and for cheaper prices.. Just seemed like hks were not ever really small enough to conceal carry reasonably compared to all the other compact 9mm options.

Anyone know a good place to test run some hks in Portland / NW oregon area?.
Might call the clackamas trianing center and see if they have any...I wouldnt completely discount a VP9, I like mine, a lot...and thats coming from a glock owner...if I had the means, I would consider swapping over entirely...but, 20 years of carrying and collecting glock stuff is hard to reconcile...

I too went heavy into Glock for years but started getting rid of some of them. Have a lot of HK now and definitely have gone to that side.

Same here. Although I would really like to get my hands on a PDP. At one point I moved entirely away from Glock. Regretted that decision and I am very timid to do it again.

As a lefty and my time behind shooting and carrying Glock I am too invested and I don't think I will ever carry something else for self defense.

ok thanks I always forget about the clackamas training center

Staccato C2 or Bul Armory Ultralight.

Only cause you don't like Glocks. Otherwise, it would be a Glock. I love my Sig P226 Legion but I carry a Glock 43x as my edc and a PMM Comped 19x in the woods. All my handguns have optics too, so something else to consider as you chase down this rabbit hole.

If you like the feel of the Sig P320 and Don;t like the trigger of the Glock 19, check out the Ruger RXM. It feels like my P320 Compact in hand and has a nicer trigger than the Glock. I will be getting one soon.

I already have the P320 Compact and a Glock 19X. But for me, the RXM was the sweet spot between the two. And, it won't shoot my right nut off if I carry AIWB.

What are your capacity and weight requirements? A 4 inch Kimber or a Colt Commander might do you well if you want a 45. I just picked up a Kimber LW 1911 a few weeks ago for $542.00 on a one day sale, with my military discount on top of it from Bass Pro.

Ok great suggestions, yet to look at or been suggested the RXM honestly. How does the bore axis compare on the rxm to the p320 compact?

Just picked up a PMM comp. Can't wait to get it out on the range. Once I know it's reliable it will be my carry gun.

Until the larger p365 variants, I would have said having a full size gun with compact concealability was impossible. That said, they don't have a blade safety so I'm not interested. I like those too much on striker guns.

HK makes a big gun. Bigger than you think, and certainly bigger than their direct competition. I've been carrying the USP compact for a few weeks, maybe a month and while it's roughly Glock 19 size, it doesn't carry as well for me. The HK45 is even bigger than that. I would pass on EDCing anything HK in .45.

It seems a little lower to me. It's pretty much a Glock 19 with a P320 compact grip. It fit my hand perfectly.

I have a couple of high end handguns, and the RXM just feels better. $399.00 at BiMart every day. I hope to get one in the next few weeks. I've got to pay off my new rifle first. Cascade Farm and Outdoor, a division of BiMart, has them for $379.00 right now. It has a removable FCU like the Sig, but takes Glock 19 mags.

Also they have a full size grip module out now that takes G17 mags. And they come in different colors as well. The grip is made by mag pull and the replacement grip modules are 40 bucks.

I haven't been this impressed with a plastic pistol in a long time. All the big holster makers have leather for it as well. I plan on getting myself one, and getting one for my son. It is milled for a red dot, as a front tritium day/night sight, with a serrated blacked out rear sight, and has a rail.

I would check to see if the mag catch is reversible. I think it is, but not sure. I like the feel of it better than my Glock 19X. But I am committed to the 19X as well as the Comoact P320. I bought mags and accessories for both.

I saw your ad in the classifieds for your M17. You might want to keep it and just add the Ruger as they are so accessible and inexpensive.

yeah see thats entirely what I'm caught up on too with the p365 fuse, xmacro etc.

Go to a range with rentals…..

Or be satisfied with the possibility of buying and selling another pistol that just "isn't quite perfect"

At least with the P365 they offer a manual safety. Just depends what you're used to.

Agreed on the HK carry "feel". I'm still trying to get used to the P2000. P30 definitely feels big even though it's around P2000 size, and in reality it is shorter than a G19 but has a longer/wider grip, which is more noticeable to me when carrying. I had an HK45C and carrying that felt like having a brick on my waist. Again, not all that much larger but quite thick, and honestly the grip was never a natural pointer for me. I wanted to like it but ended up selling it quickly.

See this logic is why I'm always broke, but hell, if it ain't for the love of it. Thanks though brother, you might have just solved it for me. While I'm down at the shop I will still try put a p2000 or p30sk in my hands and find out if one doesn't directly whisper things to me. but most likely I will leave with an rxm just because that price really makes it alot easier to keep the m17 🤣

Cascade Farm and outdoor has a military/veteran's discount. You should be able to get it for $379 down from $399.

I would buy a grand power Q1 first generation. Will likely outshoot everything you have tried that is a striker fired gun. It outshot my Walther Q5 match when shooting fast. Glock 19 size. Ambi. 100% reliable. Very low recoil due to rotating barrel system. Light weight but still low recoil. $300 for gen 1 or twice as much for gen 2 which is optic ready. Comes with 4 back straps. Grips are a bit slick which is only downside. I put Taylor tactical grip tape on it to solve that.
