Hello New Member Here - just got my CHL

Hey all,

I'm happy to meet you all. I;'ve recently gotten my chl and have a few gun bucket list items, I figure as part of my introduction I will list them:

- Attend an Apple Seed.
- Shoot a 22lr out over 250 yards
- learn to shoot a small moving target like a flying matchbox with a handgun. 22lr birdshot for this probably to be safe.
- Build an AR
- Build a 1022 Bullpup
- Build some other really stupid 10/22
- Paint. My. Carry. Gun.
- Learn to use a red dot on a pistol.

For being new to carry:
Head on a swivel.
Be the most agreeable SOB and be ok with apologizing profusely.
Don't be in Potland.
Carry pepper spray.
Read up on ORS 166.
Don't be in places you'll likely need it. (Back to the rule about avoiding Potland).
Remember that fleeing is better than having to shoot, head on a swivel.
"Get rid of that nickel plated sissy pistol and get yourself a Glock."
Carrying a gun is supposed to be "comforting", not "comfortable".
I prefer carrying bigger guns as opposed to pocket pool guns.
You'll end up with a bunch of holsters.
