Hello from Denver. I grew up in Chicagoland but moved to Denver in 2018 due to some family circumstances. I am still currently living in Denver, Colorado but plan to move to Portland for grad school within the next two years. I am a state employee and work for the state government but have decided that I want to return back to school for Urban and Regional Planning at PSU. I am hoping to get the lay of the land as I may end up there this year for grad school but realistically it will most likely be next year. I started getting really interested in it after reading "The Expanse" series by James S.A. Corey and the idea of the future they envisioned captured my imagination. I became more and more interested in the idea of humans living in huge arcologies and urbanism. I am still finishing the series and have decided to pursue regional planning as it seems to be something I have been interested in for awhile now and I decided to take a leap and go to graduate school for it.
My other interests besides science fiction are working out, eating good food, boardgaming, videogaming, and obviously firearms. I am a Glock fanboy but have been very interested in the new Daniel Defense H9 pistol as I like the looks of it. However I am trying to justify to my wallet what will make it better than my Glock 17 or 19 and am still working on an answer. I do like the look of the gun and feel that if it runs as good as my DDM4V7 I will be very pleased with it. I also enjoy Walther pistols but am saddened that the P99 and P99c are no longer being sold in the USA. I really love my P99. I do not have the money for any Class III firearms yet but plan to once I get out of grad school. I bought my AR15 after rumors started flying about a ban here in Colorado and I really thought they might actually ban them.
With that being said I cannot wait to get out of Denver and move to Portland.
