Heavier gun lube?

CLP or Ballistol has worked for me.

In a pinch I've used Delo 400 diesel oil for its dinosaur minerals.

I like a thin coat of white lithium grease for semi-auto bearing surfaces. Otherwise it's CLP…

Any specific ratio to get the consistency right? I'm interested in giving this a try vs all the super wet stuff like CLP.

I usually apply a super thin layer of grease in specific areas and heavy lube on all moving parts. The syringe idea is smart, and i'd second slip2000 grease mixed with EWL for a toothpaste/peanut butter consistency.

I've tried just clp/hoppes 9 oil, and it mixed with outers gun grease, aeroshell... even bike chain lube once. Most oils dry up or the grease gets too thick/dirty after a few hundred rounds; thin layer of slip2000 before applying any type of lube, and it'll run suppressed for a few range trips with only a few drops of lube prior, no issues.

Trust me guys, I've been all over the Internet and this forum, tried many brands myself. Age old question...
Which gun lube in your opinion sticks better to metal even after you wipe it? I want to leave a light sheen. Don't want it dripping and don't want to use grease. Any of you lucky to find something that works like that?

To protect the finish / bluing? Candle wax. Or use any Caruba wax based car wax you have sitting around in your garage.

You will have to reapply after shooting the gun but without shooting just candle wax has lasted for years for me even with some light handling.

I use Tetra lube grease for internal wear surfaces.
