I bought the first one of these back in the late 70's. Not sure how I had not seen one until then. Went to look at another Mod 60 for Wife and I to have fun with and the place had the 10/22's also. Price was of course higher but after handling the Ruger I soon left with it. Over many years I would sell one, then later miss it buy another. Finally learned to stop selling the damn things and now have a couple of them. May sit in safe for a long time but when I take one out again I remember why they are so much damn fun.

I have owned many. Maybe dozens. I think I am down to two of them right now. And my 10/22 Target Tactical shoots so incredibly well, it's the only 10/22 I shoot.

Used to shoot them as kids and have had three and sold them all due to too boring. I think the slow action is probably what I don't like but can't place it. I have nothing against them they are just not for me.

While I have never done one myself, that is one BIG upside to the model. Anyone can turn one into something VERY impressive just buying the needed parts. Have shot a couple that people had really put some money in and damned if they were not impressive as all hell what they could do.

One of the few situations in life that can be dramatically improved by adding cash.

I've had at least 2 dozen, and plan on building a few more.

We have several in differing configurations. Put some together for each of the older kids, my youngest still has a Crickett. I have two that are super accurate even with one of the suppressors attached. They are more fun to me than centerfire, almost as enjoyable as rimfire pistols.

Still have two but been playing with other rimfires lately. One is from 69 and the other from 98 both as they came from the factory except the mag releases. Had many others over the years all dressed up in different ways according to the times. With all the aftermarket gizmos it's kinda like the AR, it's the Barbie for men.

Someone needs to create a meme for the 10/22

Neat rifles...and easy to understand why they are popular.
They work well...and lots of aftermarket support and items for them.

I've owned a few...enough to know that I don't really care for them.
That said...I do like the International Model.....:D

My daughter has the last one I owned...an older model that belonged to my dad.

My Dad bought my brother and I each a Ruger 10/22 back in the early 80's. He stained and lacquered the stocks. I have shot thousands of rounds through it. It is easily one of my favorite guns. I always meant to buy another, but never did
