Howdy Everyone! I've been in Bend for a while now. I grew up plinking and have been thinking about getting back into it. Found this forum through a reddit post. Came for learning more about the target shooting resources in our area. Cheers!

Definitely. My YL is also interested in getting into plinking. We both have shooting experience, but it's been a while. I figure a proper firearm safety training course isn't a bad idea.

Yesterday my wife and I did the new shooter pistol orientation with the Redmond Rod & Gun club. I highly recommend for anyone new or getting back into shooting. The course gave a tour of the range and walked through the safety procedures and operations at the pistol and rifle ranges. Our instructor Rob was very knowledgeable and answered questions not just about the range, but about how our firearms worked. He also gave instruction on proper form and shooting technique. We had the opportunity to shoot as many rounds as we wished. All in all, five stars and worth the price.

My wife and I shot our new Ruger Security 380. I was really impressed with how well it shot and I liked the fiber optic front sight.
