I go to a 2nd hand store all the time, the owner knows I like guns and have bought gun related stuff from him before. Today a walked in and the first thing he said is..do you have a 30-06?. I said yes I have a Remington 760 gamemaster. He reached under the counter and set these down and said 50.00. I said ok I will do that. 100 factory rounds.

I shoot .45ACP. If you care to share the name of the shop, I might stop in some time (I live in the Spokane Valley), though I completely understand if you want to keep it secret. We all need to protect our hidden berry patches.

Sorry, they don't put the ammo out for sale, I have known them for years. They are kind of spooked to sell it to anyone. It is more of a private person to person type thing, and don't happen very often

Went to a gun show today. Ammo was all over. 550 rd Federal was $50 and all over (two months ago I was buying all I wanted for $20 at Wally. Now Wally has NO ammo!). 9mm was "$35/50 rds, no limit" While I was shaking my head, a guy came up and bought 10 boxes! THIS is why you stock up when ammo/primers/powder is all over the place! "BUY PRIMERS! BUY POWDER!! BUY AMMO!!! BUY NOW!!!!" I keep telling people, and telling people, and telling people this, OVER, and OVER, and OVER! Then I get a call, "Can I buy some of your primers/powder/bullets/whatever?" "WHY didn't you buy it a YEAR AGO when I told you? NINE MONTHS ago when I told you? SIX MONTHS when I told you? THREE MONTHS ago when I told you?!" "Snivel, snivel, snivel, well um...er... um...I...ah..." Sorry, no can sell, well maybe a few 100 primers at Gunbroker prices!" "But YOU paid 2.5 cents primer and want .25 cents a primer!" "Yes, that is called the stupidity tax. The don't pay attention tax! the BOHICA tax! You REFUSE to listen/learn OVER AND OVER AND OVER, it catches up to you and bites you in the rear bottom brain storage unit. NOT MY PROBLEM!"

True. I keep telling people "the word for firearms without ammunition is CLUB!" Then I get this blank look. The word for "citizens without firearms is SLAVE!" Another blank look.

Yeah, all the salvation Army volunteers really got to me this Christmas, with those sad eyes and forlorn bell ringing. Had to dig deep into the pockets to assuage my guilt and drop in a few rounds of loose 9mm in their lil red buckets. That'll help the Army, says I...
