Gooseneck road open?

Has anyone been to gooseneck road recently and if so are they open? Google is showing the road is closed just was curious if there is a reason?

Looks like they were working on the road up there, but it was open when I went up on Sunday

I've been up there a few times but never found a great spot to get any distance. Am I just missing it or is that road really only have short distance options?

Which fork have you taken? The first fork at the bulletin board structure, on the right; it leads to Gold Creek Road. There *may* be some longer distance spots along that side.

If you take the left (uphill) fork, then there is another fork, if you take the right fork, it should lead you to some other places, but there may be a challenging drive up past one of the splits.

If you continue on the left fork at that point, I think it is mostly "no shooting" areas and there is a second gate, which may or may not be open. There used to be some longer distance spots but I think they've been blocked off with logs and such.

Awesome! I'll have to go back up there and do some more exploring. Thanks so much for the info. The last time I was up there was years ago and didn't see much so I called it quits. Can't remember exactly where I went though.
