What is this "stubborn" thing you speak of?

After well over a hundred heart attacks, I did finally submit to a $300,000.00 upgrade.

Glad you got checked out and are working on the solution. I had a scare earlier this year with blood coming out of places blood should not be coming from. I had recently had a small injury that could have caused it but because of the seriousness of the event and longevity of it I went to the doctor. I had an ultrasound for thirty minutes, cameras shoved where no camera should ever go, fondled and probed by lovely doctors and nurses, and in the end it was just from that injury. I go back next month for a follow up and will gladly do it to make sure the big C is not back in a different form than I had 15 years ago.

I never pictured myself typing this, but I hope your butthole gets better soon.

Tim, thank her every day multiple times. As I sit here typing I'm mildly incapacitated and I'm alive because my
two daughters and my wife MADE me go in. I'm 83 and fatigue got to the point where I could no longer pass it
off to old age. My aortic valve was putting out only 20% due to calicified stenosis, as well as some of the blood
supply to the heart itself was cut off. They rushed me through doing the open heart surgery thing. That was
two weeks ago and recovery sucks though much preferrable to the alternative. I look forward to seeing you
again sometime in the future. Guys always seem to think "it's a pain but it'll go away". You have a fine family
and a great reputation. Keep it going.

Tim, I'm glad your better half was persistent with you.
I think you met my wife when we brought over art supplies during Covid.
About five years before that, she had significant abdominal pain so we went to OHSU for diagnostics and a cat scan. Being a cancer survivor, she was always fearful of any recurrence. OHSU said, "nothing remarkable" and didn't pass on that the radiologist noted a 6mm mass on the pancreas. I don't think it was psychosomatic, but her pain kept her bedridden for about a year. At the end, she said something to the effect of, "fuggit -- if I'm going to die, I'm going out doing things I love to do." Literally got out of bed and started doing things. She managed her pain with weed.

Glad you're on the mend. Recommend Vitamin E for blood health.

Wife's family gets strokes so we are sure to keep Vit E around.

Thank you all for the kind words. Doc got me on some new meds now. Keeping the pain at bay pretty good. Seeing the surgeon next week to take this sucker out.

a friend of mine put off going to the dr. earlier this summer, damn near killed him. turns out it was diverticulitis. gutted him like a fish and he is pooping in a bag now. they hope to put his plumbing back where it is supposed to be but no guarantee will happen. they say stubbornness kills more men than almost anything else. hope things work out well for you @Velzey.

don't be stubborn, it might kill you.
My SIL went through that for about 3 years, took out his colon, he pooped in a bag for almost 2 years an lost 80#'s. They replaced his colon and he's back to work like normal.

My dad had bladder and kidney cancer and was a drinker and smoker. He died early from it. That is why I went to the Dr so fast, just in case the injury I took was not the culprit. Turns out getting your nads mashed will make blood leak out of your body for a month🤣

The only good part of the exam was the fact that the doctor and nurse were pretty hot. Now, the seventy year old nurse that did the ultra sound was just a tad out of my radar 😆
