Look at how many places have banned ARs.Good luck.
New purchases. Not the grandfathered ones.Look at how many places have banned ARs.
It's a compensated 9mm.Gotta admit, the guy had excellent control.
He's hiding the back of the slide because it has a switch on it and everyone was under the impression that the new model wouldn't allow for a switch. What I think may be the case is the pistol that is actually doing the shooting is not a Glock V with an illegal switch installed but a different Glock that is already fully auto with some sort of mock-up switch installed on the back. If you look near the beginning of the video he is purposely hiding the rear of the pistol with his thumb and then when the camera supposedly pans back he has the "glock switch gun" ready.
If this were real and no trickery afoot this would be the guy's driveway very quickly.

Right, but in other shots you can clearly see the firearm with some kind of switch on the back, which is obviously illegal. My point is that this video has stayed up on YouTube and is being shared on Reddit and various firearm forums without any repercussions. My theory is that when he shows the Glock V, he deliberately keeps the back of the pistol out of view so you associate the next shots (of the pistol with the "mock Glock switch") as the Glock V firing, when in reality it's probably a completely different full-auto Glock. He's hiding the back of the slide because it has a switch on it and everyone was under the impression that the new model wouldn't allow for a switch.
Surprise!
Pewpew has a ton of full autos. Legally I'm assuming. So I am assuming he has the Glock switch legally too. The guy makes all his money on YouTube. So to do something illegal, taunting the ATF would be unwise financially and personally.
Don't sell us short up here is WA. We regularly tell CA to hold me beer and watch this as we race to the bottom.Watch Kalifornia closely, if such nonsense were to start, that's where I'd expect it. Or possibly Illinois…

Having a switch isn't illegal if you have the correct paperwork.Right, but in other shots you can clearly see the firearm with some kind of switch on the back, which is obviously illegal. It's just a theory, but I don't see how they could install an illegal Glock switch, put their face in the video, and publish it everywhere online without getting arrested.
I'm out of my element here in regards to automatic weapons legality.Having a switch isn't illegal if you have the correct paperwork.
No, not for the "normal" person. What you can do is if the state you are in allows it is buy one that is transferable though. Then put that switch on any Glock. This is what many are suspecting the guy did. That he was firing an old version with a switch he legally owns.I'm out of my element here in regards to automatic weapons legality.
So you're saying I can purchase (let's say one of the Chinese Amazon type places) or manufacture a full auto switch after I have applied for paperwork with the Feds, and then install it and have an automatic handgun provided I'm approved?
I didn't know there were any pre 86' Glock switches. I thought Glocks only just came out around that time? No, not for the "normal" person. Started importing them about the same year the atf cut off the select fire but have seen a few people with a transferable 18. So some must have been papered before the cut off. As you mentioned he may be a SOT holder too. If I was ever to win the lotto I guess I would have to get one just for the damn fun of playingI didn't know there were any pre 86' Glock switches. If he has a SOT license he can produce post sample machine guns legally.

Like that's really comforting.New purchases. Not the grandfathered ones.
Not at all. But to think they're gunna go knocking door to door asking for your Glocks is a pipe dream.Like that's really comforting.
Well, as long as there's no infringement or anything like that.We already have over 20,000 firearm laws here in the USA.
If laws , bans , restrictions , requirements were the answer...then the problem would have been solved long ago.
From my understanding (which is limited) a 07 FFL and SOT Class 2 licensed person, can legally modify firearms to full auto, and under certain circumstances, glock switches for law enforcement and/or military is legal. I am not 100%, as that is just what I have gathered from information, could be completely bull. Not 100% sure here either (in this video), nor do I know the behind the scenes of what is going on in this video, but I can only imagine that laws are being followed. So how did the video creators legally install the switch and proceed to make a video of them mag dumping a fully automatic new Glock V?
