I see 17L Gen 3 for sale all over now (used and new). I thought about getting one for use with a B&T USW chassis but 17L has a 6" barrel and my g34 has a 5.8" threaded barrel, so only 0.2" difference.

Prices are great for 17L and they used to be hard to find. Currently I'm considering getting a Glock 40 (6" barrel 10mm) with USW chassis instead. I just wish G40 didn't cost so much. USW 10 mm chassis is different than the 9mm one unfortunately so would have to spend $400 on the chassis. You can buy braces now for the USW which saves having to pay for a stamp. But one of the biggest benefits of the chassis (besides shoulder stabiliazation and non moving red dot) is the ability to add a forward grip. Man that grip makes a difference when shooting multiple targets rapid fire. And no stamp = no grip unfortunately.
