They are all tenifier slides...no matter WHAT the exterior looks like...Tenifer is a "process" not a color finish...

You're right. It is a process.
It's not allowed to be done in the US per the EPA because a toxic gas is released as a byproduct so Glock has started using a similar but different nitrating process on them in Georgia.
The new nitration doesn't hold up as well. You could barely damage the tenifer slides if you tried and the last Glock I bought came brand new with scratches on the slide.
It just isn't the same.
