Someone more tech savy than me sent me the video of the shooter. I doubt I can post it here. Guy was young college kid in tan/grey? shorts, red t shirt and backpack (?). Walking around and shooting people at random and missing a lot it looks like from the short video. Looks like he bubblegum one person on the same mall walkway at very close range then was shooting at people farther away and running which it looks like he missed all those.



Students were running from right of the frame to the left in the parking lot with the white truck (in the foreground) and past the lamposts (in the background). Shooters focus was one the poeple in the background behind the lamposts area.

Looks to me like the kid was not a good shot. Any of those students nearby if they were armed (and ideally at least behind some cover) could have taken him out.

I woudl say pay attention to the first hand accounts and what you see. The video above explains what happened from a girl who saw it. The video of the shooter can be found at "Libs of TikToK" on Twitter.

I would like to hear how many shots with shotgun near the hummer and did he use the shotgun he took to the student union building. But I doubt they will mention that. They never say the useful stuff like how many shots with what from where. The pistol ones he only hit the easy targets it looked like. Hopefully they will say social media and motivation stuff though. That would be helpful. The fact he drives an orange hummer tells me a lot. Need for attention. Likely lack of self esteem. Son of local sheriff supposedly.

A little off topic, but similar: the guy at my gym next to me had a heart attack and died after his bench presses and while we were on the phone with 911 doing CPR and using the AED, there were at least 3 people standing around us poking their phones in our faces. As if my faith in humanity wasn't low enough...

Damn that sucks, big time. When there was that bad motorcycle crash yesterday or the day before no one was filming anything. I was on phone to 911. People were trying to see if they could help the guy. Poeple wondering what's going on, people on their phones. I would say about 10-12 people at various times and I didn't see one person film anything.
