My last duty station, 1993 - 1995, I was ASF - Auxiliary Security Force as my collateral duty instead of standing watch at the dry dock. As the platoon chief, I got to ride with the military shore patrol once a month to foster support between the two orgs. That was always a good time. The base I was at was deemed strategic so we had contract DOD gate security, Marine Security Force detachment, Navy Shore Patrol Master at Arms and ASF.

I was also a Submarine EMT with national and Virginia certification but didn't have the state that I was stationed at so my certs lapsed.
