I like electro ear pro. The ability to be able to hear normal noises unimpeded while still getting good hearing protection is super neat.

But now I am getting into radio stuff. I know they make radio headsets that also offer good ear pro, but I cannot find any that also have electro ears. I want both; a radio hookup with electro ears for ambient noises. I am not sure if this has to be a radio specific feature or if I can find a generic headset with ambient noise amplification. The search terms I am using do not turn anything up, but I may not know the right terms to be looking for. If anyone knows of a device that does this, or even good search terms to turn something up I would appreciate it.

What do you mean by "radio?"

Do you mean you want to be able to pump music into your headset or do you mean you want communication ability via your headset? Either way, however, most of the higher end models should be capable of this...Sordins, Peltor, Safariland's rig, Ops-Core, etc. And I mean the top end models within each of these lines. Peltor, for example, makes a ton of models throughout the price range. But the Comtac 3's...or whatever they're up to now...should be able to handle this easily.

I have a set of these, used them target shooting when I forget my electronic earmuffs, they work, but it's manual controls for sound suppression.

I use them via Bluetooth to my phone for all audio, only problem with these, while it can pickup calls, the other person can't hear you..

I primarily use these when using power equipment.
