So change of plans. My contractor is concerned about the gate because he hasn't done electric and wants me to do that separately, but I still need to figure out the base before the concrete goes in.
 
As far as running the underground PVC conduit pipe to power the gate, I would add an extra one from your house in case you need one for low voltage manual control wires and also one that loops underground from gate post to gate post.

WFIW, the only low voltage I've seen ran to the house is for a Cat6 line to connect the system to your WiFi so you can control it from anywhere.

If it's a local Bluetooth/kepad/Fob then the low voltage just needs to run under so the motors can communicate.

I would run one to the house though just in case.
 
In all my years of working in residential construction, I never heard a homeowner complain about those extra conduit sleeve pipes I placed under their concrete driveways and walkways in case they needed to run a yard sprinkler system or a new replacement water line.
