We didn't drink lite beer. We drank the good stuff: Blitz, Hidelburg, Lucky, Ranier, Oly and Hamms. Or whatever was on sale.
Didn't exist in Colorado.

If it did, it was two cents mores expensive than Natty Lite, which was an instant disqualifier.

Thanks a lot 64 Merc, I'll probably not sleep tonight… :s0012:
Is this more to your liking ? Cougar on the prowl ...... ;)

What? No Schlitz Stout? The Bull? Malt Liquor?

Was it Hamms they were selling in the "suitcase"? I think it was 30 cans for cheap.

When I was attending The Oregon State University in the early 80's, The Peacock Tavern had Lucky on tap. Dimer Night at The Beaver Hut got you a 10-cup tray of Falstaff for a buck. That stuff was complete garbage, but college students tend to be poor.

I don't recall there even being any lite beers back then.

I think I mentioned my friends that told me they drank sally beer. I was not familiar with that beer so I questioned them for more details. They said when they went to buy beer they looked for the beer that had the word "sale" displayed. :D :)

That was the best beer back then. Cheap and local! But you seem to have left out, Cascade, Bohemian and Beer Beer in the white box. All in 11 oz bottles at, $2.67/12 Pack. Them were the Daze Man! For me, coming from Utah, where all beer had to be 3.2% Alc. Wyoming was 1-1/2 hours away and drinking age was 19, guys would make beer runs. The Beer, might have been the best thing about moving up here. But now all you have here are national brands, and over hopped, bitter, $12.00--$14.00/6 pack beer.
