Just confirmed with two adjacent neighbors covering 12 years of residency that have dogs and never a known instance of misbehavior of my dogs, One basically was of the opinion that the complaint was BS.

One commented that he knows of the questionable character of one and the odd behavior of the suspect annoying neighbor couple who was known to fail to uphold their end of costs in paying for a mutual fence. fyi
He said, she said.... They have the law on their side currently and, frankly, you've said more than once that your dogs are barkers. I'd really like to hear the other side because I'm not inclined to believe yours at face value.

As many have pointed out, just because barking doesn't bother one person does not mean it isn't nuisance barking.

If the complaint was BS then you have nothing to worry about. The Animal Control will come out, listen and hear nothing and move on.

Very good injfo! I am going to write animal contro9l and get specific dates and times and cross check with my diary and Ring. Much thanks.

Sounds like that might be tough.
But wouldn't it be fun if it also showed the neighbor intentionally antagonising the dog!

If you can't control the mutts, put them down. Why would any one want six barking little pieces of bubblegum?
Then the dirt back yard probably full of dog bubblegum.
If I had a neighbor with six barking little pieces of bubblegum something would of been done years ago.

I think the message from the OP that it's everyone else's fault but his own is what gets me. And the doctorate mention for good measure because that has everything to do with this situation.

And therin lies the elephant in the closet. If his dogs weren't barking he doesn't need to prove a thing.
Really? His neighbor said they were barking and filed a complaint. You want maybe the animal control people to just say "Oh, never mind, we'll take your word for it and move on"

And that 4th degree black belt, of course

How does this process work?
Doesnt the animal control come out and listen for themselves? Can they ticket him without evidence?
