Do people really 'train' things like this?

I stumbled on a Youtuber named Alex Zedra last night and I skimmed through a couple of her videos on stupid gun mistakes I saw this. The first at about the .40 mark is almost as bad. This is one of the most incredibly stupid, 'intentional' things I have ever seen done with a gun.

Yes sadly there is a LOT of "hold my beer and watch this" shooting. I am sure this has always been done. It just got worse when everyone could put stuff online. The moron shooting his car mirror I watched a guy do with his new AR. He was using the roof of the car as a rest and the first two shots made nice grooves in the roof. The sights being so high off the rifle would often fool new users like that.

While I didn't see it I know of a guy who did this as well - but he actually shot holes in the hood!

I've watched a few of her videos, she is easy on the eyes and not a moron.

I get a little tired of watching gun fail stuff as I can only handle so much stupid in my day…

I'm not some sort of special forces or operator overseas so I don't train weird stuff. I know my guns work and know I can hit my target. I have enough hand to hand training that I'll worry about it if it happens some day.

My uncle told a story about his friend shooting off the hood of the truck with his elk rifle, using a loosely rolled up (GI issue, feather and down) sleeping bag as the forward bag.

The ensuing blizzard rivaled scenes in Ice Station Zebra, and nobody went home without finding feathers in every crevice.
