No. And any guns inherited are typically off limits. You just get to a point in life where less is more. Between my kids, separation and running my business I don't have as much time as I use to. Figure others can enjoy some of the stuff

Yeah, I know someone like that. He said it was cheaper to keep her; that was 25 years ago. Now he's miserable that he ever was. The biggest mistake for not divorcing while he was younger; now he is in retirement and regretting it.

You are in a very good place at age 39! You can easily date women 10-14 years younger than you but no single mothers nor divorcees! Maybe go to they gym if you are out of shape and make your self more attractive if that is the case. Maybe seek post-divorce counseling to help you with the trauma? You have a good future ahead I hope!

I'm 6' 7, 230 lbs. Trauma is trying to stop someone from bleeding to death after you watch them crash right in front of you. Holding a 19 year old as they take their last breath. It ain't two 30 something's who just don't get along no more. Long as my kids are good, bring it on life!

I'm sorry for you, your wife and your kids. My mother and father divorced when I was four. I was told someday I'd understand. I never have. Went to visit my dad's resting place a couple weeks ago and wondered why. I still have hard feelings towards him for giving up. I found my wife 29 years ago. It's been a roller coaster ride. There have been many moments that I wanted to walk away but I was either too stubborn or too lazy to do that. I stayed for my kids and times have gotten better. I'm not judging you so please don't take it that way, just want you to know this will have a big effect on your family and things will never be the same. Best of luck…..

Seems to be a magical number, for me after 15 years, new house, full of new furniture and new car for her in the driveway, she decided to go for a gimpy one eyed jack…. Even had the nerve to bring him into our house with me there…

Yup, got up one Saturday morning, got ready to hit the gym, walk out into the great room, one eyed jack canoodling with her on the sofa. Told 'em both, y'all need to be gone by the time I get back, else I'm not responsible for what might happen.

They indeed were cleared out when I got back. Made it clear to the ex that this wasn't no brothel and the next male companion would be treated like an intruder. Period.

Never had another incident. But had her arse moved out shortly there after…

Divorce can be rough and real brutal on the emotions. Stand firm, protect the kids. Everything else will fall in place in due time.

In community property states all assets have to be divided or purchased to keep the balance sheet even…. That was my experience anyway. I maintained control of all firearms, gave up additional stock investments to do so.

You sound desirable at 6'7" and at a good weight. Once you're recovered, you'll rebound in no time!

You're correct. But, from some stories I've heard, if there is enough animus involved, NOTHING is insignificant.

Oh I have no doubt some people will do anything to hurt the other but someone would have to own a massive amount of guns by even pro gun standards to make it worth it. If I had to cash out the other and it came down to mere possessions like that I would just subtract the value from the larger assets.

No. You can specify that. My 1st wife and I were part owners of a chunk of land on Pawleys Island in SC. Because it came to us through her family, I released claim on that. I have no regrets about that.

Had a partner who, when she split with her ex, they fought over who had the rights to their combined apple music library. Sure, it may have been worth a few thousand, but so what.

Depends on the gun collection. They pull out the blue book of gun values and assume mint condition.
