Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
The 21" barrel may have a larger gas port. From experimenting I did with 1100's years ago under 22" may not cycle well without a larger gas port. Other than the barrel the gun is mechanically the same as any other 11-87.
You are probably missing the bead, the center bead is threaded 4-40 the front bead is a 6-48 thread ( if memory serves ), replacements are available from remington or brownells. Remington may send you a manual if you ask nice, call them.
