It still puzzles me that a legislator believes that passing a law to restrict gun possession will keep a criminal, who doesn't obey laws, from getting a gun.
Intentional stupidity???

There has to be a few, VERY few, law makers who really are so stupid they think laws on guns will matter to crime. The VAST majority of them know full well it will do nothing. The laws are not supposed to do anything to criminal scum. Notice the same law makers to champion gun laws also champion NOT locking up scum? EVERY SINGLE law makers who wants more gun laws also wants to take other rights away.

Guns laws mean D votes. Votes mean power and $. If they wanted to reduce crime they would try to deter criminal behavior, such as with prosecutions and real penalties for those who commit them. But D governments do exactly the opposite, easing laws on criminals, making it harder for police to do their jobs, prosecute fewer criminals, and let in unvetted illegal migrants into the country. D led governments are enabling criminal behavior, not deterring it.
