This DB9 has never been fired, so I can't really comment on your concerns.

I have had one FTE - the very first round I fired from a brand new gun - HD ammo. Since then, I have been to the 'range' with it 4-5 times and never had another hiccup with mixed ammo. I trust it - I am carrying one right now.
