I cant tell from the photos but it looks like this model doesn't have the provisions for an optic rail on the left side is that correct?

That's right. The rail can be mounted, same as new CSA rifles. Have your smith drill and tap 3 holes and it's gtg. Directions and a template are available.

I was just curious as I noticed the new ones are already drilled and tapped and everything so I figured I would ask. Thanks for getting back to me!
