Can anyone tell me what the marking B79 means on a Serrated Cutco Model 1769 Hunting Knife?

I just looked up cutco...
And saw a model 1769 knife for sale on ebay with a B86 marked scabbard....
Maybe this is a date / year marking...?
Haven't got a real idea here.

Marking on mine is on the blade.

Don't know. I looked at three different Cutco knives. After the four digit model #, two have KO and one has JF after the model #. Have no idea what it means. Contact Cutco and ask them?
