Custom Ruger mark iii Build

Found these in my dads Shop he is now retired and no longer in the game. I have the barrels and upper receivers and now its time to finish them.
i will build these on a Mark iii and try to do a custom build as they were meant to be. i will keep my progress posted as i go should be a cool build.

Yes they are. He was a 07 FFL and these are the last 2 he ever made.

Got a local machine shop to make some barrel nuts. Now waiting on some shims to set barrels into the receivers.

Ordered a Volquartsen bolt in gold. Waiting on a completed volquartsen aluminum target lower reciver. I plan on building one with iron sights and one with red dot to mix it up a little.

Barrel needs a few more tweets and it's set. Waiting on the main spring and a few other pieces and I'll be test firing.

I always did too but we didn't see eye to eye the last 10 years so I never got one. He is fully retired now and I was picking up a few other family firearms and found these.

I am sure mine won't be finished as well as his but close enough. I will have one on a target frame with red dot and the other on a 22/45 frame with iron sights.

Well one is fully assembled just Waiting on compensator. I am picking up a Bullet trap tomorrow to test fire and see if I messed up on head spacing. Ruger factory guns are +-.010ish so pretty sloppy. The second one will be on 22/45 frame with iron sights. I Should have that lower Monday and that is the last part I am waiting on for 2 complete MK3s.

I was able to find the parts for a compensator. I am going to get more made and sell the rest if anyone watching is interested. I will have 3 for sale price will be determined once I get price on machine time.

Second one put together with 22/45 lower. Now just need to see if these will cycle might need to polish chamber more but should be good to go. Still needing to send off muzzle brake baffles to be made just haven't has much time.
