Colt Taylor Clark Customs Bomar Gold Cup Bullseye 1911 45acp
Besides being a looker, this is one of the coolest and most unique pistols I own. It can shoot the wings off a fly at 50 yards. Very soft shooting and solid in the hands. The Colt Gold Cup National Match Series 70 slide has a nice deep glossy bluing. It is built upon a beautiful Taylor's Firearms 1911-A1 frame, short-serrated match trigger, and custom Herrett's Target 1911 grips ($$$). It can shoot both iron sights (with a rare Bomar extended sight rib), and red dot optic/scopes (with the Clark Customs bullseye rib). I was told the slide machining was done by Clark Customs and then rebuilt on a new frame. Everything is nice, tight, and still not broken in. It looks like an 8" longslide with the 7" extended barrel and 3" clamp-on compensator (reduces felt recoil dramatically). These Bullseye Target 1911's just aren't made anymore and are getting impossible to find - especially in this beautifully preserved condition. I am getting into the Beretta platform and 9mm, so I am letting go of my 45acp safe queens one by one.
