Been out of it for a minute, I did a bit of research but like oking for I put on current ammo pricing for 9mm, 5.56, .45 acp, and 10mm. Fmj target ammo like magtech etc. I always bout in bulk online from sgammo and the sorts. Might looking to sell a bit off for the cash right now and wondering what some good price points would be to move it quickly but at a price that both parties are happy with. What's the sweet spots?

There are some fantastic ammo deals in classifieds right now. Great if you are buying, not so great if you are selling.

You mention a great place to look. SG. See what they charge for the stuff you want to sell. Set your price accordingly. If you ask a little less than SG someone may be interested.

There are price aggregators now for ammo that does this research legwork for you. Such as: ammoseek .com
Enter the caliber/manufacturer/bullet type and you get a great picture of current retail. Remember to take note if tax/shipping are included in that CPR average.
I would then recommend listing for about 20% less than that, and be willing to take reasonable offers from there.

...Remember from a buyer's perspective there has to be incentive for spending their time and gas $ to meet up with someone selling their 'secondhand' ammo instead of just ordering that ammo new online themselves.

Thanks for the input. I never put too much weight on ammoseek since the cheaper prices are always bs after shipping and taxes etc when you actually go their sites also with the remanned stuff.

I more wanted to start the convo and get input from members here.

For 9mm you are looking at less than $0.20 per round as that is what the sales have them at currently.

You can get FMJ target stuff for that price often at Bimart.

Agreed on above points.

I'm buying bits of a variety of calibers, but only if the deal is really good. I have to factor in my time, gas and the hassle compared to ordering online or picking up locally.

If a great deal pops up on anything I can use, I definitely try to grab it.

Speaking only for myself here...

No matter the ammo...brand , type , etc..
I refuse pay for or buy "used" ...as in previously bought ammo at retail...or damn near retail prices.
Or as I have seen listed more than a few times....higher than retail prices.
