When I was a kid and we went camping we had a small KINDA flat bed trailer with wood sides like a cargo trailer I would sleep in the trailer all the time .my dad would just build a tarp tent over the top.

And thats on a 4ft by 4 or 5ft Harbor Freight utility trailer frame, correct?
Yeah, HF trailer. Not sure what size it started out as. He built a 2x2 skeleton for the roof and door. The sides are 1/2"(?) plywood and he used that white plastic sheeting with texture on one side that they use on walls in restrooms over everything.
A twin mattress fits widthwise but is about 4 inches too long so your toes hang out. Obviously the door gets propped open just a bit when you're sleeping anyway. It's reasonably comfy for 1 person.

I need that cover and bows!

Yah ya do! Super convenient, and the bows stow up towards the front in extra holders, when you don't want to run the cover.

Should be able to pick up a set, with the side rails, but you may have to go on a long drive. No idea on pricing either.

Sets also might pop up on "wander the west" or "expedition portal" from folks converting there trailers to rooftop tent platform type rigs.

Perhaps the surplus place out in Boring would have them in the fenced off outdoor storage yard? @cigars Alley Cat Surplus or something like that... last I was there, they had a whole bunch of poles and items for GP tents and vehicle related items like tow/cargo straps and fittings

Edit; otherwise, for sure the surplus stores in the area around Joint Base Lewis-McChord would know someone who could direct you to a set up there.
